Laurynn is a genuine, passionate, and open-minded therapist who has practice working with youth, emerging adults and adults from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. Through her approach, she fosters a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy and collaboration to support individuals in their journey towards greater insight, healing, and fulfillment. She has experience working alongside individuals who tenaciously navigate challenges and especially experienced in working with anxiety, relationships, and gender & sexual diversity. Laurynn also supports people struggling with emotional overwhelm, chronic distraction, self-doubt, complex trauma, grief, and depression.
Laurynn believes that within each of us exists a wealth of knowledge, which when accessed, can bring us towards greater alignment with our identity, life-meaning, self-concept, and success. Using a strengths-based orientation, Laurynn cultivates a therapeutic relationship grounded in acceptance and empowerment. Her integrative and trauma-informed approach to therapy is uniquely tailored to each client based on client preference and need. Some of the evidence-based treatments she utilizes in therapy include Internal Family Systems, Somatic psychotherapy, Systemic psychotherapy, Mindfulness-based therapies, Gestalt therapy, Narrative therapy, DBT, and CBT.
Following the completion of her BA in Psychology, Laurynn went on to earn her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Niagara University. She is a Professional Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and a Registered Psychotherapist, qualifying with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
