Nisha comes to Human Connections with over a decade of work and training in human services and is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Masters prepared Psychologist. She provides therapy to all ages, and draws on various therapeutic modalities including but not limited to trauma therapy, EMDR, Narrative, Guided mindfulness practice, Gestalt, Art, Somatic, and Emotion Focused Therapy.
Nisha has worked with communities, organisations, children and adults who reflect diversity in nature. She is fascinated by science behind the mind, body and spirit, resiliency factors, the positive impact of mindfulness, Indigenous healing practices, and nature as medicine. She has dedicated her work experiences to personal and professional growth that helps her support people through their life bumps compassionately. Beyond her work as a psychologist, Nisha is a humanitarian at heart, having lived and worked in 5 of the 7 continents teaching English, supervising UN projects and gathering intercultural wisdom to share. She continues to learn Spanish and French following her Mother tongue of Gujarati.
